Sally Taylor   
Vocal / Musical Theatre Coach- PCE-ABD 

From the age of 4 Sally trained with both Doreen Anthony in Retford and then

the Julie Beech Stage School before continuing her training at Laine Theatre Arts in Epsom, Surrey where she gained her Major Exams (many with Honours) in ISTD Tap, Ballet and Modern and RAD Ballet.

Sally won the IDTA Miss Dance of Great Britain and went on to have a  successful career playing lead roles in the West End in Musicals such as 'Cats', 'Starlight Express' and 'Singing in The Rain' to name a few. TV appearance include 'Gary Wilmott's This is your Life', Channel 4 Celebration, Song for Europe BBC1 and Open House with Gloria Hunniford.

Often asked to Guest teach and Lecture in Collages in and around London it made sense that eventually she would start her own school, which she did in 2007 in Hertfordshire. (Performance Central)

She relocated back home to Retford and opened Performance Hub in January 2016.

Qualified with a Professional Certificate in Education, Sally has taught at the Elizabethan Academy, Retford. North Wheatley Primary School, Ranskill Primary and Ordsall Primary.

Since opening Performance Hub, Sally is an Affiliate Member of ABD ( Associated Board of Dance) and Performance Hub is a registered centre for Lamda examinations.

Heather Turner
Dance Teacher
abd Dance Teacher.

Heather was the East Midland Ballet Champion in 2000 and achieved Honours for ISTD Advanced 2 modern and ISTD Advanced 1 Tap. 

Trained at Staples School of Dance at the age of 15 Heather gained a place at the Northern Ballet School in Manchester with a full three year scholarship. During the 3 years she performed with the Jazz Galore Company and Manchester City ballet.  Heather passed RAD Advanced 1 Ballet with Honours and left with an NQF level 4 diploma in Performing Dance and NBS Dance Diploma.

In 2003, Heather taught for Staples School of Dance for 2 years, helping to choreograph festival performances.

In 2005, she started working at Portland School in Worksop where she taught many dance clubs and helped to set up and teach key stage 3 dance and GCSE dance. Heather also taught the Dance Unit for the Princes Trust Award.

In 2010 Heather moved to the Elizabethan High school in Retford as an English TA, setting up and running many dance clubs. She has also taught GCSE dance as lead teacher and various units of the BTEC Dance.

She is currently Head of Dance at Performance Hub and has been a founder member of Performance Hub Theatre School from 2016.She also teaches GCSE Dance at Queen Elizabeth High School, Gainsborough. 

Heather is a fully qualified  teacher of  ISTD. 

Jenny Stephenson
Drama Teacher

Jenny has always had a passion for Drama and Music and has been performing since she was young. She became very involved with the arts at school where she achieved her Grade 8 and Diploma in Musical Theatre (DipLCM).

She studied Drama and Performance studies (GCSE and A Level), leading her to pursue further education in Theatre at University.

Attending the University of Hull from 2013-2016, Jenny explored a wide variety of styles, practitioners and skills. Throughout her studies, Jenny became an integral part of the Costume department and became the official Costume representative for the course.

Jenny was awarded a First Class Degree.

In 2017, Jenny earned a PGCE with QTS in Secondary Drama teaching and began teaching at Tupton Hall School. She has taught GCSE and A Level Courses, whilst also running Drama clubs and co-directing 3 musicals.

Jenny has a diverse experience working with children with different needs. She worked for the Bassetlaw Holiday Activities Club (2011-2013) a scheme for children with Disabilities (ages 5 -16) and in 2017 for Target English, a scheme from Spain, Italy and Portugal learn English.

Jenny has been a member of the Lindrick Players Amateur Dramatic Society for over 15 years, performing in Plays, Pantomimes and Showcases, and is the Youth Officer on the committee.
